Location and environment

The location.

From the main road between Jesi and Cupramontana there is a gravel road of about 250m which leads to "La Torretta". The house lies in a hilly area among vineyards and olive tree orchards. When the sky is clear you can even see The Adriatic Sea.

The spot offers absolute privacy although you can reach the village of Cupramontana within 5 minutes by car.

Cupramontana.

The village of Cupramontana is about 3 kilometers up hill. It has a characteristic old centre with some grocers', a baker's, a butcher's, a greengrocer's, a toy shop and some clothes shops.

On Monday morning there is a fairly big week market. There are plenty of small bars (for excellent cappuccinos), terraces and some restaurants.

The environment.

The area has a lot to offer. There are numerous old villages and towns with Roman churches, theaters, museums and monuments. A day trip to Ancona, Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi, Macerata or Ascoli Piceno is worthwhile. Nature lovers can have their share too. They can visit the Frasassi Caves, the Cingoli Reservoir, the wildlife areas of Monte Conero or Gola della Rossa or one of the many beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Sea (30m by car). The towns of Jesi, Ancona, Senigallia and Fano are okay for shopping.
